If you must use frames, use them carefully. Offer a choice to visitors - Frames verses No Frames.

>> Do not set sound to "autoplay" when someone visits your site.
>>
View your site through different browsers and screen resolutions to check html validity and browser compatability. Making your site fit in any screen resolution is a must.

Example: Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, Opera to mention a few.

The recommended file size for a web page is 40-60K. Reduce the file size of your graphics without effecting the quality.
>> Make sure you include proper META tags in the HTML of each page of your website.
>> Avoid placing banner exchange banners at the top of your page.
>>

Separation of paragraphs - along with proper heading for each section - helps a page to be more easily read and navigated.
>>
To make them Search Engine friendly - Add title, keywords, author information, meta tags, description, robots.txt to all the pages and submit them to major search engines and web directories.
>>
Never use - excessive large / tiny graphics, blink tag, under construction signs, whole page written in CAPITAL LETTERS, too many advertising banners to mention a few.

Graphics that are too large (anything over 100k) will cause a significant delay in the load time of a page. Instead you may have a link to it instead of loading it onto the page.
>>

Always save your graphics both in .gif and .jpg formats to check the best quality for the file size. GIF files can be compressed either as interlaced or non-interlaced.
